Time Trial Challenge

Both the 160 km and 100 km routes are eligible to participate in the TT challenge*. The top 10 overall riders for each distance will receive the following monetary prize based on their completion time; a total of $1500 in prizes will be awarded.

Finishing Place Prize
1 $250
2 $150
3 $100
4 $75
5 $50
6 $40
7 $25
8 $20
9 $20
10 $20

For the 160 km challenge, riders will be timed in two sections and the winner will be determined by a time aggregated between the 4KTT* and the original Heartbreak Hill Challenge to equal approximately 5K.

For the 100 km challenge, riders will be timed only in one section which will consist of the 4KTT*.

The team competition is open to any team of at least 6 riders (all riders on the team must be registered for the same course distance). The team competition winner will be determined by the average time of the top six riders. This average will be assigned as the team's performance. The winning team will receive glory, a trophy and the top six riders from the team will receive a $35 gift certificate.

Additionally the winners of the individual age and gender categories will be recognized. The age categories are as follows: 34 and under, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65 and over.

The challenge is a significant distance into the ride, and to participate and be eligible, riders must complete the entire 160 km or 100 km route (please note the challenge is not on the other two courses) prior to the 4KTT & Heartbreak Hill challenges (i.e., you can't put your bike in a car drive to the hills and ascend).

*All distances are approximations, final distances are determined with rider safety and current road use in mind.

**Please note that there is $20 fee for all chip-timed events.
